ATV Tour

Description

Departure — Potrero (anytime)

If you're looking for an ATV adventure, we’ve got two fantastic options to recommend!

The first option is a 2.5-hour tour through Tempate, where you'll visit historic sites over 130 years old and stop by a remote dragon fruit plantation. Frequently asked questions

Do I need experience to ride an ATV?

No experience necessary! Whether you’re a seasoned rider or a first-timer, this tour is designed for all skill levels. Mauricio, the guide, will make sure you’re comfortable on the ATV before heading out, and he will be there to help every step of the way.

What should I wear?

Comfort is key! We recommend wearing long pants and closed-toe shoes to protect your legs and feet. Sunglasses are a good idea to keep dust out of your eyes, and don’t forget sunscreen! You’ll be outside for most of the tour, so staying protected is important.

What should I bring?

Bring along a hat, sunscreen, and a bottle of water to stay hydrated. A bandana or scarf is also helpful to cover your mouth and nose from any dust.

What if it rains?

A little rain can add to the adventure, but if the weather turns unsafe, the tour will be canceled, and you’ll be offered a full refund or the chance to reschedule. Safety comes first, and Mauricio will always make the best decision for your experience.

How long is the tour?

The tour lasts around 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore the beautiful landscapes and connect with the local culture.

Will there be food on the tour?

Yes! Along the way, you’ll stop for an authentic Costa Rican meal—simple, delicious, and just what you need after all that riding.

Is the tour safe?

Absolutely. Safety is the top priority. The guide knows the terrain well, and he will provide a full briefing before the tour to ensure everyone feels confident and secure. You’ll also be equipped with helmets and safety gear.

What if I’ve never ridden an ATV before?

No worries! The guide, Mauricio, will give you a quick lesson before you hit the trails, making sure you know the basics and feel comfortable with the controls. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you get the hang of it.

What is the cancellation policy?

Since we are not the tour operators, we recommend contacting the ATV company directly for any cancellation information. We’ll connect you with them and they’ll be happy to help!
