The 2.5-hour trek is a fun challenge with river crossings and rocky paths, but the reward is worth it. La Leona Waterfall is tucked inside a cave, and swimming in its cool pools feels like something out of a dream.

After the hike, you’ll refuel with a delicious Costa Rican lunch. And if you’re in the mood to keep the relaxation going, you can add a volcanic mud bath and hot springs.
